Francesca Mannocchi

Francesca Mannocchi is a freelance journalist. She contributes to Italian TV, including RAI-3, La7, Skytg24 and international newspapers such as L’Espresso, Al Jazeera English, MEE and Stern. In recent years, she has covered wars and the migration crisis in Iraq, Syria, the Balkans, Lebanon, Turkey and Libya and co-directed the documentary “If I Close My Eyes,” on the lost generation of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, with war photographer Alessio Romenzi. In 2016, she won the Premiolino, the most important journalistic award in Italy.
