Alexander Bratersky Senior Foreign Policy Writer, Gazeta.Ru

A graduate of the Moscow State University journalism school, Alexander Bratersky is a senior foreign policy writer for Gazeta.Ru. He covers Russia-American relationships, NATO, Middle East and Russian policy in Syria. He previously worked at the Moscow Times as a political reporter. Prior to the Moscow Times, he was a political reporter for Izvestia, the Russian national daily, and was a Washington correspondent for RIA Novosti news wire. He has appeared as a political commentator on Russian TVC channel, Al Arabia and Al Jazeera. He is also writing his PhD thesis on American think tanks and policy toward former Soviet States at the IMEMO think tank in Moscow.
