Mohammed Alaa Ghanem Syrian Academic, Writer, Pro-Democracy Campaigner and Human Rights Activist

Mohammed Alaa Ghanem is a Syrian academic, writer, pro-democracy campaigner and human rights activist. He is a fellow with the Syrian Center for Political and Strategic Studies and an Atlantic Council Millennium fellow. He previously served as assistant professor at Damascus University, Syria, and as preceptor at the Syrian Virtual University. He also was formerly government relations director and senior political adviser for the Syrian American Council in Washington D.C.
